Mr. Gustav William Ludwig

A Memorial Service for Mr. Gustav William Ludwig, age 83 of Bloomington Springs will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning, June 13, 2015 at the Heavenly Host Lutheran Church on South Willow Avenue in Cookeville. Mr. Ludwig passed from this life on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Gustav was born on April 26, 1932 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Gustav Ludwig and Marie Ammerman Ludwig. Gustav was an antique car restorer and collector and was featured on 'American Pickers' in July of 2014. He was also a member of Middle Tennessee Antique Tractor Association, Middle Tennessee Antique Car Club AACA, Stutz Club, Crosley Car Club, Model T Ford Club & The Honk-Rattle & Roll Club. Mr. Ludwig had several cars that were National First Place Winners. He is also a member the Heavenly Host Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Radke Ludwig; two daughters, Susan (husband Gary) Case of Bloomington Springs TN, & Lynn (husband Michael) Nichols of Hendersonville, NC; three sons, Frederick Ludwig of Cookeville, Richard Ludwig of Hendersonville, NC, and Gustav (wife Diane) Ludwig II of Bloomington Springs. three grandchildren, Shannon Nowak, Gregory Case and Gustav Ludwig III. He is also survived by three great grandchildren, David Nowak, Roman Case and Xander Case. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his brother, Theodore Ludwig. Pastor Andrew Smith will officiate the Memorial Service. The family has requested memorial gifts be made to the Heavenly Host Lutheran School in lieu of flowers.
