Mr. George Elbert Boles

A Memorial Service for Mr. George Elbert Boles, age 61, of Cookeville, will be Thursday evening, September 24, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until time of the service. Burial will be Friday morning, September 25, 2015 in the Shipley Cemetery. Mr. Boles passed away Monday morning, September 21, 2015 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born March 1, 1954 in Detroit MI to the late Cohen W. Boles and Elizabeth Delilah Wassom. George will be remembered as an avid bowler. He loved the sport, and enjoyed the people he bowled with regularly. George is survived by one sister, Rita K. Thomas of Cartersville GA. and one brother, Bobby W. Boles of Kennesaw GA. He is also survived by three nephews; Bradley Cohen Boles, Danny Wayne (wife Amanda) Boles, and Warren (wife Lindsay) Thomas and one niece; Tara (husband Seth) Currier. In addition, George is survived by three great-nieces; Tatum Currier, Lucy Thomas and Lindsay Boles, three great-nephews; Drew and Charlie Boles and James Thomas as well as special cousins and caregivers; Carolyn Pinkley and Donna Wassom. Bro. Ken Haney will be conducting the services.
