Mr. Danny Tharon Flatt

Funeral services for Mr. Danny Tharon Flatt, age 62 of Cookeville will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 4:00 until 8:00pm. with burial following in the Crest Lawn Cemetery. Danny was born January, 13, 1953 in Cookeville, TN to the late Hollie Flatt and Nelda Marie Ward Flatt. Danny was a member of Bussell Church Of Christ. Mr. Flatt was an employee with the TN Vocational Center for 40 years. He had been disabled since the age of 7 years old, however he did not allow his disability to define his life. Danny was an out going, caring and compassionate man. He always made the best of every situation he faced. Danny's heart was full of joy and love for everyone he knew. He also loved his boxer bull dogs, Charlie & Roxie. They were his best friends and he was theirs. Danny is survived by two brothers, Jimmy Lee Flatt & Ricky (wife Linda) Flatt both of Cookeville; two nieces, Hollie Leann Flatt & Brandy Dillon; also one nephew, Chaise Nicholas; one great niece, Teagan Flatt. Danny also leaves behind lots cousins, along with several aunts and uncles and a host of friends. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his youngest brother, Barry Dale Flatt.
