Graveside services and interment for Mrs. Mildred Bohannon Staley, age 101 of Springfield, TN and formerly of Cookeville will be held Thursday February 14 at 1:15 p.m. at Cookeville City Cemetery. Mrs. Staley"�s family will receive friends Thursday from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Mrs. Staley died Saturday afternoon February 9, 2013 at the home of her granddaughter in Springfield. She was born November 18, 1911 in Cookeville to the late James (Jim) Longstreet and Nannie Myrtle Hunter Bohannon. She received her BS Degree in Education from Tennessee Polytechnic Institute (TTU) and her Masters Degree in Education from George Peabody College. She was a life-long educator and a member of Hillsboro Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Jack"� Pearson Staley, SR; son, Henry "Hank"� Pearson Staley, JR; and her brother, Lewis Hunter Bohannon. Survivors include grandchildren, Sharon Kelley and husband, Steve of Springfield, TN, Allison Nelson and husband, David of Clarksville, TN, and H. P. Staley III and wife, Pam of Franklin, TN; great grandchildren, Kendall Kelly, Contessa Kelly, Kera Benavente , Carson Staley, and Sloan Staley. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
