Mildred Gieseke

Funeral services for Mildred Gieseke, age 97, of Cookeville, will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from the Chapel of Kolssak Funeral Home in Wheeling IL. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, August 3 at the funeral home. Mrs. Gieseke passed away Friday, August 30, 2010 at her home in Cookeville. She was born February 22, 1913 in Lake County IL to the late Amand Farner and Mary Mark Farner. Mildred served people as a waitress for the Clayton House Restaurant for many years before she retired. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by her family. Mrs. Gieseke is survived by three daughters: Nancy Reed and husband Ross of Cookeville, Marilyn Sprague and husband Ken of Wheeling IL, and Dolores Finke of Grays Lake IL. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Gieseke, seven brothers, six sisters, and one grandson, Ronald Sprague.
