Mildred Bowman

Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Joy Bowman, age 74 of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday April 8th at 1 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Bro. Kerry Duke will officiate. Mrs. Bowman passed away suddenly Sunday evening April 5, 2015, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born December 24, 1940, in Algood to the late Perry Morgan and Shelia Robbins Wilmoth. A 1958 graduate of Algood High School, she was an employee of Oster in Cookeville. She was a member of the Union Hill Church of Christ. She enjoyed traveling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Glenn Bowman. She is survived by her son, Steven Bowman and wife Melissa of Cookeville; daughter, Donna Strong and husband Patrick of Clarkrange; grandchildren, Michael Bowman, Jeremie Bowman and Lee Huddleston; great grandchildren, Brooklyn Veers and Star Bowman, Haiden Bowman and Audrey Bowman; and by two brothers, Paul Wilmoth and wife Shirley of Sparta and Carl Wilmoth of Cookeville. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner and again on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
