Mike Robichaud

February 22, 1954 — June 17, 2024

Michael J. Robichaud, affectionately known as Mike to all who knew him, passed away on June 17, 2024, in Cookeville, TN, at age 70. He was born on February 22, 1954, in Detroit, MI to John and Joyce Flatt Robichaud. Mike grew up to proudly serve in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, embodying dedication and courage.


After his military service, Mike dedicated himself to a career in law enforcement, he was a respected Deputy at the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, and he continued to protect and serve his community as a security guard until retirement. He carried his commitment to service through his active involvement with the American Legion Post 135, the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP #10), and the Blue Knights motorcycle group, bringing joy to his brothers in arms.


Mike is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne; his mother, Joyce Flatt Robichaud; his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, reflecting multiple generations of legacy and love. His life is also celebrated by his siblings, brothers Johnny and Jeff Robichaud of Putnam County, and sisters Cheryl Robichaud of Putnam County and Robin Heintz of Michigan, who will dearly miss their brother’s steadfast presence.


He was preceded in death by his father, John Robichaud; his daughter, Mandy Suzanne Randolph; and his brother, Rick Robichaud.


Mike’s life was a testament to honor, service, and the profound connections he made. His legacy lives on in the hearts he touched and the community he so fiercely loved.


Funeral Services for Mr. Robichaud will be held at 1pm, Thursday, June 20, 2024 from the Cookeville chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Bro. Bryan Hickey officiating.


Interment will follow at Algood City Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Veterans Honor Guard.


Jeff Robichaud, Johnny Robichaud, Patrick Randolph, Heath Randolph, David Heintz and Tim Ford will serve as Pallbearers.


Honorary Pallbearers will be the American Legion Post 135, FOP Lodge #10 and members of the Blue Knights.


The family will receive friends on Thursday from 8am until time of service at the funeral home.
