Mike Copeland

Michael "Mike" Copeland, born on April 25, 1951, in Overton County, Tennessee, passed away suddenly at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, on July 26, 2023. He was 72 years old. No services are planned.

Mike was the beloved son of the late Lucian and Imogene White Copeland. He was a devoted family man, survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mimi Moorman Copeland, whom he married on June 1, 1975. Mike was a proud father to his late daughter, Courtney Copeland. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry and wife Brenda Copeland of Livingston, TN, and his sister, Nancy Tipps of Lebanon, TN.

Mike was a graduate of Livingston Academy and attended Cumberland University and Tennessee Tech University. He dedicated his career to the Putnam County School System, where he served as a bus driver until his retirement. He was known for his kindness and dedication to the students he transported daily.

An avid outdoorsman, Mike had a deep love for nature and the tranquility it offered. He was happiest when he was hunting or fishing, often sharing tales of his adventures with friends and family.
