BAXTER-Funeral services for Michelle "Mickey" Phillips, 79 of Baxter, will be Saturday, June 3 at 11 AM at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will be in Cooke Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 8 PM and after 10 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Bro. John Pippin will officiate.

Mickey died Monday, May 29, 2023 at her home.

She was born December 19, 1943 in Glendale, California to the late Dale Melvin and Inez Geraldine Hopeman McClara.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie N. Phillips on February 19, 1997 and a son, Richard McGuirk.

She was a retired factory worker with Oster, Identity Group, Robert Shaw and Genco.

Mickey was a member of Baxter Church of Christ. She loved to laugh, spend time with family and friends and she loved her "furbabies".

Survivors include sons Jason (Tammy) Phillips of Baxter, Floyd McGuirk of River City, CA, Michael (Donna) McGuirk of Lawton, OK, daughters Marjorie McGuirk of Bushnell, FL and Sue (Lonny) Deam of Fort Mohave, AZ, 13 grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren, special friends Beverly Goff and Janice Bowman.

Memorial donations may be made toward the funeral expenses.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
