Micheal Hood

Micheal Ray Hood, age 11, passed away Wednesday morning February 5, 2020 at his home after a courageous battle with liver cancer. Micheal was born September 28, 2008 in Jamestown, TN. He was a 5th grade student at Prescott Middle School and proud to serve as manager for the football team. His family includes his Mamaw, Loretta Reagon and Pa, Jeremy Hammock; sister, Gabrielle Hedgecoth; two brothers, Gabriel and Simon Hood; great grandmother, Neva Hood; aunt and uncle, Angela and Jeff Fitzpatrick; and numerous cousins, friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Oscar Hood. A funeral service will be held on Saturday February 8 at 11 a.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Malcolm Strong will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery. Micheal's family will receive friends Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. and again Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time. Pallbearers will be Gabriel Hood, Jeff Fitzpatrick, Michael Alcorn, Daniel Goodson, Elvis Hood and Colin Cole. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
