COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Michael Charles Mahoney passed away peacefully on Thursday February 27, 2025, at his residence in Cookeville, Tennessee. Born on May 1, 1932, in St. Joseph, Michigan, Mike lived a life characterized by his warmth, and genuine connection with those around him.

Mike graduated from Western Michigan University in 1957 with a degree in Business Administration, a foundation that would serve him well throughout his impressive career. His professional journey began with the Studebaker Corporation before joining the Heil Company, where he rose to the position of Vice President. Mike served as President and CEO of TUTCO Inc., in Cookeville, from 1982 until his retirement in 2002. He was not only a businessman but also a distinguished veteran of the U.S. Army, having served his country during the Korean War. His life was marked by a profound commitment to his family and an unwavering sense of duty.

Mike was known for his exceptional storytelling ability and impressive memory. He had a unique way of making each person feel as though they were the only one in the room. His intelligence, integrity, and compassion earned him the respect of colleagues and coworkers.

He is lovingly remembered by the love of his life; his wife, Judith Mahoney; children, Lisa Fosbury (Hugh) and Linda Pukenas (Rick); siblings, Pat Mahoney (Tana) and Sharon Garcia (Robert); special brother-in-law, Jerome Dempsey (Teresa); sisters-in-law, Linda Lord and Ginger Smith (Greg); his cherished grandchildren, Kelsey Dempsey, Melissa White (Sean), and James Fosbury (Becca), as well as his great-grandchildren, Olivia and Amelia White; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Frances Mahoney; his mother-in-law, Edith Burke; his siblings, Charles "Butch" Mahoney, Neil Mahoney, and Bonnie Noahson; as well as his son, Greg Connelly, and grandson, Michael Todd Connelly.

The family has chosen cremation. A memorial service with military honors will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday March 15 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Visitation for friends and family will be from 11 - 1 p.m. Dr. Peggy Karlosky will officiate.

Mike Mahoney leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered.
