Funeral services for Mr. Michael (Mike) Wayne Freeman, age 57, of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday February 19 at 3 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Rev. Bill Stone and Rev. Mike Head will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery. His family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 p.m. until time of service. Michael passed away Saturday February 15, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born July 9, 1962 in Oklahoma City, OK to Jerry and Jane Watkins Freeman of Cookeville. Michael formerly worked in construction. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Trevor Freeman of Oklahoma City; brother, Bryan Freeman of Panama City Beach, FL; sister, Dana (Randy) Griggs of Sparta, TN; nephews Wes (Jessica) Griggs of Cookeville, TN, Jerred Griggs of Sparta, TN, Jacob Freeman of Panama City Beach, FL, Cole Freeman of Panama City Beach, FL, and Jaxson Griggs of Sparta, TN; great niece Mia Kate Griggs of Cookeville, TN; great nephew Kyler Ashton Locke of Cookeville, TN; aunts, Lanita (Kay) Maddox of Lancing, TN, Nettie Henry of Wichita, KS, Tami (Ed) Stephens of Wichita, KS; uncle, Steve Watkins of Dewitt, AR; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Arthur Columbus Solomon Freeman and Mary Louetta Carey Freeman; maternal grandparents, A.C. Watkins and Nettie Bell Brandon Watkins. Pallbearers will be Bryan Freeman, Jacob Freeman, Cole Freeman, Wes Griggs, and Ed Stephens. Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (931)526-6111.
