Memorial services for Melissa Gomila, 31, formerly of Cookeville, will be held at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home on Thursday, June 16, at 6:00 PM. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 PM until time of the services. Rev. David Torres will be officiating. Melissa passed away on Thursday, June 9, in St. Petersburg, Florida. Born in Cookeville, she graduated with honors from Cookeville High School in 2003. Melissa attended the University of TN in Knoxville and the University of Vigo in Spain, graduating in 2007 with a degree in management. Her family includes her parents, Miguel and Claudia Gomila of Cookeville, one brother, Kevin Gomila of Chattanooga, and her grandparents and extended family in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
