Maryanne Palmer, of Cookeville TN, passed away Friday July 4, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born September 23, 1949 in Lodi, OH to the late Melvin Roy Riebe and Bette Jane Heeter Riebe. Maryanne completed her school years at Waynedale Schools In Apple Creek OH, and completed an Associate Degree at the former Lees-McRae Junior College in Banner Elk, NC. Maryanne was 70 years of age. Her working career spanned a variety of occupations, including 10 years with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Suncoast, in Venice Fl and ending as an administrative assistant for 8 years with Sarasota County Government, from which she retired in 2013. Maryanne enjoyed gardening and new recipes. Her favorite winter activities were crocheting and crafting greeting cards, always giving her work to friends and family. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Jerry Palmer whom she married September 26, 1981 in Apple Creek, OH. Daughter, Kimberly (Brian) Jordan of Littleton, CO; son, Matthew (Mandy) Palmer of Berea, KY, and five grandchildren; Brodrick (Brody) and Aidan Jordan of Colorado; Madalyn (Maddy) Palmer and Russell Palmer of Duncan, SC; and Sullivan (Sully) Palmer of Berea, KY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Melvin "Fritz" Riebe and Robert "Bob" Riebe. Graveside services and interment will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 21 at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
