Mary Sierocinski

Mary Martyn Sierocinski, 76, of Sparta, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, June 4th, 2022. She was born on September 24, 1945, in Cookeville, TN, to Walter Ray Ashburn and Marilene Youngblood Ashburn. Mary was a 1963 graduate of Upperman High School and spent many years working in the banking industry. She loved to prepare large meals for family and friends. She was well known for her holiday baking and elaborate Christmas decorating. She was an animal lover and had may pets throughout the years. She was a member of Lighthouse Church in Sparta, TN, and loved her church family. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Walter Ashburn, and her husband of 39 years, Alfred Sierocinski. She is survived by her adoring family, her mother, Marilene Ashburn of Buffalo Valley, TN; her sister, Beverly Kaye Jones of Buffalo Valley, TN; her children, David Templeton of Huntsville, AL, Greg Templeton of Nashville, TN, and Lesley (Lee) Welshans of Jersey Shore, PA; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. At her request, no services will be held at this time. Memorial Contributions are suggested to be made to the American Cancer Society Memorial Foundation Hope Lodge, Nashville, TN. The family wishes to acknowledge the entire care team from Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center, Dr Wade Iams, and Avalon Hospice for the love and care given to her and her family.
