Funeral services for Mary “Pauline” Buck Cunningham, 83, of Cookeville, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, from the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cunningham Cemetery in White County. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2009 at the funeral home. Mrs. Cunningham, known as Pauline, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born August 9, 1926 in Davidson County to the late Rush Buck and Mary Speakman Buck. Pauline was of the Methodist faith and attended Salem United Methodist Church. She retired from Ford Motor Company in Michigan and had been living in Cookeville for the last 17 years. Her family includes three daughters: Pamela Jean Corwin of Cookeville, Carlene Lund and husband Art of Metamara MI, and Ann Dunlop Laforge and husband Ronald of Washington MI. Pauline is also survived by a son: Michael Scott Cunningham of Cookeville, one sister, Doris Buck Smith of Cookeville, twelve grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Buck; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Yates; a son, William Rush Cunningham; and her former husband, Ira Jessie Cunningham. Rev. Gary Farris will conduct the services.
