Funeral Services for Mary Margaret Stidham Burton age, 80 will be held Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:00 am until time of service. Mrs. Burton was born on Jackson County on May 13, 1933 to the late Samuel Smith Stidham and Bessie Apple Stidham. She had resided at the Upper Cumberland Christian Home since 1993 until her time of passing on Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Mrs. Burton was a member of the Willow Avenue Church of Christ and a former member at McBroom Chapel Church of Christ. She formerly worked at Wilson Sporting Goods and was the owner of Burton Art and Frame on Broad Street for many years. Margaret was married to the late Ralph Edward Burton who passed away in 1983. She is survived by their only child, Kimberly Ann Burton Gaw and her husband Clearance Micheal Gaw of Cookeville. She was a loving grandmother to her two grandchildren, Chandler Michael Gaw and Mandy Lyne Gaw, also of Cookeville. Mrs. Burton is also survived by several brothers and sisters and their spouses: Buddy and Helen Stidham, Floy and Denny Richardson, all of Cookeville: Lyne Adams of Lebanon and Judy and John Wilburn of Hermitage. She is also survived by two sister-in-laws Nancy stidham and Oma Stidham of Cookeville. She is also survived by several brother-in-laws and sister-in-law Fred and Phyliss Burton, Pauline Kirby, Betty Tinch all of Cookeville; Ellen Bendward of Mt. Juliet and Wanda Burton of Gainesboro. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by brothers James Argo Stidham, Rex Donald Stidham and Billy Stidham; and her father-in-law, Lem and Mandy Ruby Burton along with brothers and sister-in-law, Paul and Frances Burton, Jeff Burton, Edward Benward, Hank Adams and Arthur Kirby. Burial will be in the Crestlawn Cemetery. Bro. Johnny Fox will be conducting the service. Pallbearers will be Denny, Matthew and Stephen Richardson, Chandler Gaw, Gary Stidham and Fred Burton. Congregational singing will be held and led by Bro Steve Leddy.
