Obituary for Mary Flynn Graveside services and interment for the family of Mrs. Mary Flynn, age 78, of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, April 18th in Shipley Cemetery. Bro. Mike Adams will officiate. Mary Flynn, age 78, passed from this life to her eternal life on April 16, 2020 at her residence. She was born September 1, 1941 in Overton County to the late Roxie and William Cooper. Mrs. Flynn lived her adolescent and young adult years in Anderson, Indiana. After living several years in Lakeland, Florida she returned to her favorite place of all, Tennessee. Mrs. Flynn was a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Flynn; and brothers, Jimmy and Billy Cooper. She is survived by sons, Robert (Lisa) Sells and Carl (Kim) Sells all of Cookeville; step-son, Jerry (Terry) Flynn of Missouri ; grandchildren, Robert, Cade and Ryan Sells, Carlie Winegar, Cole Adams and Keeley Fields; ten great grandchildren; four nieces and nephews, and a special friend whom she loved as a granddaughter, Sierra Sisco. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's honor to Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church, 4825 Buck Mountain Rd., Cookeville, TN 38506.
