Mary Elizabeth Armstrong

Mary Elizabeth Armstrong, age 76, of Watertown, TN, passed away Friday, January 3, 2019 in Cookeville, TN. A memorial gathering for friends and family will be held at a later date. Mary Elizabeth was born March 19, 1943 in Knoxville, TN to the late Clyde and Robbie Brown Patton. She attended Memphis State and Mississippi College for Women. She was a homemaker and was a talented artist who enjoyed painting and studying history. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Michael Armstrong, Sr.; son, Robert Michael Armstrong, Jr.; and by daughter in law, Melissa Jane Armstrong. She is survived by her son, John Armstrong; two granddaughters, Cecilia and Madison Armstrong of Cookeville; and sister, Linda Coleman and husband Larry of Smithville, TN.
