Mary Ann Nix

Graveside services and interment for Mary Ann Nix, age 71, of the Double Springs Community, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 25 at the Stewart Cemetery on Old Baxter Road with Bro. Jerry Blair officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the cemetery. Mrs. Nix passed away Thursday morning, June 22, 2017 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born June 25, 1945 in Plant City, FL to the late Silas W. and Dorothy Fay Powell. Mary was a homemaker and loved to garden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Nix; and a sister, Margaret Sasser. She is survived by three sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha Jo Stanland of Georgia, Myra and Tommy Brandon of Wimauma, Fl, Mavis and Danny Randolph of Cookeville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Silas "Buddy" and Brenda Powell of Plant City, FL, Charles David and Deborah Powell of Mulberry, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
