Mary Ann Grider

Mary Ann Grider, age 29 of Cookeville, passed away suddenly Thursday, June 6th, 2024 at her home. She was born February 2, 1995. Mary was beloved by all who knew her. She will truly be missed, especially by those who provided support for her over the years at her home and those that had been currently providing support for her at Pacesetters. She touched each of their lives in a special way.

Mary enjoyed many things in life, She especially loved going shopping at local stores including Party City, where she developed many special relationships with the staff there. She also enjoyed her "bunny", and was rarely seen without it.

Mary was truly an exceptional person, who brought so much joy to those that knew her. She could always bring a smile to those that she would encounter. All that knew her always enjoyed her catch phrases, including "sock shoe", "store" and "nana". Mary's ability to bring love to those who supported her never failed. Her unique personality made it so easy for those that supported her that little bit extra to make her life that so much better.

Mary was genuinely a person who did not ask for much but was able to make others lives so much better by knowing her.

Pacesetters, whom Mary resided with for the last decade wants to ensure that all those that had, as well as continued to support her till she passed that they have their greatest admiration and thanks to all the support that was given.

Mary's friends will gather from 12-2pm, Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home to celebrate her life.
