Martha Pratt

Funeral Services for Martha Ruth Pratt, 89 of Cookeville will be held Friday, July 11 at 3 P.M. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Rev. Carl Scarlett will officiate. Mrs. Pratt died Wednesday Morning July 9, 2014 at Signature Healthcare of Putnam County in Algood. She was born August 25, 1924 in Morrison, TN to the late Charles and Jessie Mae Wilson Fults. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Olin L. Pratt (who died April 11, 2014); and by two brothers, Estill Fults and Fred Fults. She was a graduate of Bowling Green University. She retired as Secretary of Industrial Engineering Department at University of South Florida. Following retirement, she and her husband, traveled with their motor home throughout the U.S. and to parts of Europe. In April of 2007 they moved to Cookeville to live near their son. She was a member of Stevens Street Baptist Church. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law John and Linda Pratt of Cookeville, daughter and son-in-law Vivian and Steve Wallace of Lakeland, FL, grandchildren: Brett Herd, Aaron (Melanie) Wallace, Charlie (Heather) Wallace, Greg (Nicole) Wallace, Ryan Pratt and Erica Pratt, great-grandchildren: Hannah Johnston, Macey, Sidney, Kamber, Ethan, Nathan and Kathryn Wallace, John and Joey Hardwick. Memorial contributions may be made to Care Center at Stevens Street Baptist Church 269 South Willow Avenue Cookeville, TN 38501. Mrs. Pratt's family will receive friends Friday from 2 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
