COOKEVILLE CHAPEL-Martha Rebecca Cullens Miller, known by Becky to her friends and family, was devoted to her faith, her family, her friends, and fur babies. She was born in Brownsville, TN on February 21, 1943. She was a surprise blessing to her parents Clarence Cullens and Virginia Story Cullens, who thought a child was not possible. Becky’s time on earth blessed more than just her parents.
Becky’s career spanned over forty years. During her time as Director of EEO at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL, she helped thousands of marginalized and unfairly treated individuals find resolutions to their problems. She was highly respected by not only five star generals, but also the very least of us. In one word, she was extraordinary.
In Becky’s younger years, she loved playing the piano at church and playing the saxophone in the band. She passed her love of music on to many people teaching piano lessons for years.
Becky leaves behind a daughter, Clarissa, a son, Jeffrey (Denna), three granddaughters, Ansleigh, Abbi, and Alli, her adored furbabies, Basil, Ivy, and Lottie, and many beloved cousins. She will be mourned by all of the chosen family that she loved and called her own. She loved deeply without judgement.
Becky left for her heavenly kingdom on Saturday, March 22, 2025. She fought the return of metastatic renal cell carcinoma for five years. She has won the battle and awaits us in glory.
A private family memorial service will be held at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Cookeville, TN. A public memorial service will be held in Fayetteville, TN at a later date.
