Graveside service and interment for Marshall Thomas Maynard, 81 of Murfreesboro, were held Wednesday, June 2 at 2 PM at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery in the Boma Community of Putnam County. Bro. Tony Crow will officiate. There was no public visitation at the funeral home. Mr. Maynard died Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro. He was born April 4, 1940 in DeKalb County to the late Arvie W. and Willie Ann Braswell Maynard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson Jason Maynard, sisters Naomi Malone, Keeble Threet, Shirley Wright, Barbara Craig, brother Clifton Maynard. He was a retired heavy equipment operator with Jones Brothers Construction. He was a member of Silver Point Baptist Church. Marshall enjoyed gardening, leather work and taking care of his animals. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Kay and Lloyd Maynard of Silver Point, Sally and Paul White of Cookeville, son and daughter-in-law Shannon and Helen Maynard of Silver Point, sisters and brother-in-law Sybil and John Waite of Murfreesboro, Sally Jones of Smithville, brother and sister-in-law Gerald and Pat Maynard of Nashville, grandchildren: Matthew Maynard, Christopher (Vivian) White, Kattie (Wes) Stevens, Tyler (Letha) Gaw, Kimberly Maynard, Brandon (Anna) Maynard, Marshall Maynard, Jessica (Tory) Womack, great-grandchildren: Austin (Taylor) Maynard, Kaytlin Maynard, Ashlin Maynard, Molleigh Maynard, Mason Maynard, Mackenzie Nash, Elizabeth Jo Gaw, Adaline Tess Gaw, Anna Mae Gaw, Zachary Maynard, Emitt Maynard, Oakley Womack, Carter Womack, great great-grandchildren: Hadley, Hayden and Holden Maynard.
