Funeral services for Mr. Mark Anthony Sutton, also known as "Dooley", age 53 of Cookeville, will be held Monday, October 11th at 11:00 a.m. at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Homes. Pastors Fabron Nicholson and Patsy Vinson will officiate. Interment will follow in the F A Norrod Cemetery in the Hanging Limb community of Overton County. His family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the Baxter chapel. Mr. Sutton died Tuesday October 5, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born September 17, 1968 in Buffalo Valley, TN to the late William Bud Sutton and Joyce Jackson Rodgers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by mother-in-law, Mildred Hoover. Mark was a farmer throughout his life, raising tobacco and cattle alongside his father. He was employed as a youth mentor with UCHRA for 13 years and was currently employed as an industrial cabinet maker with Cookeville Kitchen Sales. Mark was a member of Rock Castle Emmanuel Church in Baxter for over 25 years and served as a deacon in the church. Mr. Sutton is survived by his adoring family, his wife of 27 years, Virginia Hoover Sutton; son, Tyler Sutton; brother, Jamie Rodgers; grandmother, Helen Jackson; father-in-law, Randall Hoover; sisters-in-law, Vicki White, Valerie Hoover, and Brandy Hoover; brothers-in-laws, Johnny Hoover, Joey Hoover, and Tim White; by special cousins, Buddy Hancock and Leonard Hancock; and by a host of nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. Scott Burton, Joey Hoover, Tim White, Nathaniel Nicholson, Tyler West, Kevin Dick, Steven Hancock, Johnny Hoover and Tyler Sutton will serve as pallbearers. Buddy Hancock and Leonard Hancock will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorial contributions are suggested to be made to Cookeville Regional Medical Center Charitable Foundation Cancer Fund, 1 Medical Center Blvd, Cookeville, TN 38501.
