COOKEVILLE CHAPEL-Graveside services and interment for Mrs. Marilyn Weidner Holland, age 93 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Cookeville City Cemetery. Rev. Bill Stone will officiate and Nurses Honors will be rendered by the Tennessee Nurses Honor Guard.

Her family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home.

Mrs. Holland died Monday October 21, 2024 at NHC of Cookeville.

She was born February 20, 1931 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to the late Clarence and Louise Marchand Weidner. She attended Southeast Missouri State University and nursing school in Memphis, where she met her husband while he was in dental school. She was a longtime member of Cookeville First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, George E. Holland, DDS. by a sister, Jo Ann Doepel.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Cole and husband Matt, of Cookeville and Lisa Kennedy and husband Tom, of Charlotte, NC; and by grandchildren, Doug Kennedy and Erin Kennedy.
