Marilyn Annette Gentry Turner

Funeral Services for Marilyn Annette Gentry Turner, age 58, of Sparta, will be held Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Upper Cherry Creek Cemetery in White County. Marilyn died Monday January 31, 2011 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born September 4, 1952 in Oak Ridge TN to the late Flavil Gentry and Lena Mai Roberts Gentry. Marilyn was a Licensed Practical Nurse with Elk Valley Health Services and had worked at Robert Shaw Manufacturing Company. She is survived by her husband Danny Turner: two daughters Holly Annette Stafford of Cookeville and April Dawn Petty (Jason) also of Cookeville: three brothers, Billy Joe Gentry, Johnny Gentry and Donald (Janette) Gentry all of Cookeville: two grandchildren, Evan and Carsen Petty, and a very special friend Elega Gentry. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Reba Carolyn Franklin, and one brother Jerry Stephens Gentry. Bro. Johnny Fox will be conducting the services.
