Marieodile A. Kintz

A funeral mass for Ms. Marie-Odile Andree Suzanne Herve Kintz, 79, of Baxter, Tennessee, will be held Monday, March 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Father Aly B. Thanickal will officiate. Her family will receive friends Monday from 10 a.m. until the service time at the church. Interment will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery at the Cookeville Boat Dock Road, in Baxter, Tennessee directly following the service. Ms. Kintz died Thursday, March 24th at her residence with her loving husband, son and daughter at her side. She was born September 2, 1942, in Frejus, France to the late Robert Herve and Elisabeth Guigues Herve. She was a graduate of Saint Gabriel, Rabat, Morocco and she received her master’s degree at the University of Aix-en-provence, France. She immigrated to the United States in 1967 and became an American citizen January, 2017 after living in the United States for fifty years. Marie-Odile was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; a dedicated homemaker, an adjunct professor of French at Tennessee Tech University, an avid woodcarver, seamstress, artist, cook, equestrian and gardener. She enjoyed spending time outdoors with her horses and dogs. Her favorite activity was time spent with family. Marie-Odile was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ and attended mass faithfully at Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Christian Robert Herve. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Kenneth E. Kintz; by her daughters, Anne-Marie E. Loeffler and Nathalie M. Kintz; her sons, Amaury C. Kintz and Stephane H. Kintz; her grandchildren, Joseph Rainey, Andrew Rainey, Noah Farrington, Stephanie Rainey, David Farrington, Sarah Stachowicz, Christian Craft, Zoey Hayes, Keenen Hayes, Casbie Kintz and Arianna Hayes; her great-grandchildren, Brylee Tate, Gavin Rainey, Izabella Rainey and Emmarie Mathis.
