Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Reiser, age 85 of Lakeland, FL and formerly of Cookeville, will be held Friday November 6 at 11 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. David England officiating. Interment will follow in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Reiser's family will receive friends Thursday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Reiser died Saturday October 31, 2015 in Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was born January 23, 1930 in Baxter, TN to the late Lee and Hagar Hammer Rhoton. She attended the former Putnam County Schools: Boiling Springs and the former Central High School. She was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. She moved from Louisville, Kentucky in 1979 to Dunedin, FL after retiring from Weiss Newman Shoe Company. She loved her community and had so many wonderful friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Reiser; and seven siblings, Clovis, Carl, Delsie and Emma Rhoton, Oma Lafever, Jewell Hutchings and Ina Harris. Survivors include her daughter, Betty "Sue" (Arvin) Lange of Lakeland, FL; son, Ronnie Steve (Joyce) Rock of Charlestown, IN; grandchildren, Kimberly (Ray) Dodd, and Brandon (Chelsea) Lange; two great grandsons, Robert and Chase Dodd; two sisters-in-law, Thelma Patterson and Ruth Rock; and nieces, nephews, and special friends. Troy Benz will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer. Active Pallbearers will be Brandon Lange, Robert Dodd, Chase Dodd, Bob Wilkerson, Bill West, and Randy Jeter.
