Funeral services for Allie Marie McCormick Johnson, age 88 of Cookeville, will be held at 1:00 p.m, Tuesday, April 13, 2010 from the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home with burial to follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 12, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Johnson passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010 at NHC of Cookeville. She was born July 26, 1921 in Putnam County TN to the late Herman McCormick and Della Clouse McCormick. Marie was the office manager for the Cookeville Shirt Company for many years, and was a member of the Cookeville Free Will Baptist Church. She is survived by One daughter, Carolyn Johnson of Cookeville: One sister, Lorene Brewington of Cookeville: Five Sisters-in-law: Vivian Boswell and Marcella Bilbrey of Cookeville, Patricia Green of Nashville, Geneva Floyd of Sparta and Iva Hayes of Baxter: One Brother-in-law, Carl Johnson of Cookeville: and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Hershell, Marie was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Aline Buckner; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Trump and Mattie Johnson; and two brothers-in-law, Oren Johnson and Bill Johnson. Pallbearers for the service will be Larry Boswell, Mike Boswell, Clint Green, William Johnson, Don Thompson, Earl Trump Jr., Eric Green and Randall McCormick. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Ackers, Ronnie Lee, Cecil Essex, David Jackson, Dennis Tennant, Troy Whiteaker, and Mark Apple. Bro. Dow Allen, Bro. Sterl Paramore, and Bro. Wesley Henry will conduct the services.
