Maria Rosa Almanza Moran

Maria Rosa Almanza Moran, age 75 of Cookeville and formerly of Chihuahua, Mexico, passed away suddenly Wednesday October 26, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Memorial services will be held at First Baptist Church of Cookeville, Tuesday November 1st. Visitation begins at 5 P.M. with service at 6 P.M.

Rosa was born August 30, 1947 in Chihuahua, Mexico to the late Luis Almanza and Isaura Moran.

She served the Lord alongside her husband as a Pastors Wife for over 30 years.

After moving to Cookeville, she attended Cookeville First Baptist Church where she was a member of the ACT Sunday School class and helped with the mother's day out program.

She is survived by her son Abel (Raquel) Gomez, daughter Rosa (Dimas) Aranda of Cookeville, son Caleb (Nancy) Gomez, and son Benjamin Gomez of Mexico; siblings, Herminia (Vicente) Medina, Javier (Marta) Almanza, Luis Almanza, Alicia Almanza, Patricia Almanza and Elizabeth Almanza, all of Chihuahua, Mexico and eight grandchildren Bequer and Ezri Gomez, Samuel (Bekah), Gabriel and Keren Aranda, Sofia Gomez and Mariana Gomez.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Abel Gomez Gonzalez and sisters Bertha and Marta Almanza.
