Margie Nadean Bowman

Funeral Services for Margie Nadean Bowman, age 70 of Crawford will be held Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Allen’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 27 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home, and again Saturday, Jan. 28 from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at Allen’s Chapel Church. Burial will be Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Allen’s Chapel Cemetery. Nadean died Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born February 24, 1941 in Overton County TN to the late Osa D. and Effie Mae Allen. She was a homemaker and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother as well as a member of the Eastern Star. Nadean is survived by five children, Regina (James) Gipson of Cookeville, Linda (Mark) Burgess of Cookeville, Anita (Tony) Peek of Cookeville, Darrell (Debbie) Farris of Jamestown, and Tim Farris of Baxter. In addition she is survived by two brothers: Harley (Lois) Allen of St. Clair Shores MI and Claude Allen of Cookeville: three sisters Mary (Tom) Pryor of Cookeville, Imogene Snedecor of Livingston, Charlene (Donald) Ledbetter of Livingston; and a sister in law, Mary Emma Allen of Hilham. Mrs. Bowman is also survived by seventeen grandchildren: Shawn, Amber, Heather, Lauren, Dylan, Tiffany, Kalyn, Jordan, D.J., Alyssa, Loni, Jake, Neisha, Rebecca, Carroll, Nena and Brittany, as well as six great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Charles Olath Bowman, Nadean was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Norma Ray; one brother Hilman Allen; a great-grandson, Kendale Lee Whitehead; two brothers-in-law, Wade Ray and Jerry Snedecor, a sister-in-law, Dessie Allen and her mother and father-in-law, Cletis and Ada Bowman. Pallbearers will be Darrell Farris, Tim Farris, Johnny Ledbetter, Doug Ledbetter, Shawn Gipson, Dylan Burgess, Gary Allen, Richard Allen, and Lee Snedecor. Bro. Edd Shaver and Bro. Ken Haney will be conducting the service.
