Margaret Overstreet

Funeral services for Margaret Ellen Harvey Overstreet, 90, of Cookeville and formerly of Monterey, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 22 at Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Clarkrange Cemetery in Fentress County, Tennessee. Pastor Dean Patton will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, July 22, from 1 p.m. until the time of service, at 3p.m. Margaret died in her home on Friday July 20, 2018 at 3:21 a.m. She was born April 5, 1928 in Sequatchie Valley to the late William Harvey and Cecil Hixson Harvey. Margaret was a member of Monterey First Baptist Church. She loved gardening and working with her flowers. Margaret always viewed the world with a child-like sense of joy and was loved by everyone she knew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bud" Overstreet, son Carroll Overstreet, and sister Norma Durham. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Charles) Lattimore of Astor, FL, and Hope Jones Kelly of Cookeville; sisters Wilma Livesay of Clarkrange, Mary Davis of Santa Ana, CA, Ann (Clinton) Wright of Clarkrange; grandchildren Amy Beatty (Kirk) Littrell of Nashville, and Andrew (Katie) Jones and Maura Jones, both of Cookeville; three great grandsons Leo, Luke, and Link of Cookeville.
