Funeral services for Margaret Christine Hall, age 85, from Shelbyville Tennessee, formerly of Cookeville will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday March 4th, from the Cookeville chapel of Hooper – Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home, with her son, Pastor Carl E. Hall and Pastor Charles Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:00 am until service time on Saturday, March 4, at the funeral home. Mrs. Hall passed away on Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at Hearts Remembers, Inc. in Shelbyville. Margaret was born November 27th, 1931 in Putnam County, Tennessee, to the late Mack Carver Cobble and Margie McClain Cobble. In addition to her husband; Lovell Kenneth Hall, her parents & her in-laws; Alva & Betsy Stamps Hall, she was preceded in death by brothers; James Carl Cobble & Shelby Cobble, a sister; Cleta Cobble Lane; sister in-laws; Deannie Brown Cobble Buckner, Glenda Jackson Cobble, Gaynell Bohannon Hall & Magdalene Hall, brother in-laws; Woody Lane, David Aaron Hall & Thomas "Tom" Hall, a nephew: Gary Lane & a nephew by marriage; Stephen Carl Alred. Margaret lived a very active life. She was always busy doing things like keeping her house, working in two large gardens, growing all kinds of fresh produce, which she would also can & freeze. She was also involved in her husband's, Lovell, grocery store by working during the week. In her later years she enjoyed making homemade quilts for her family and grandchildren. She would dry apples to make homemade "dried apple fried pies". She also worked at Howard Brother Department Store and Ryan's Steak House for a period of time. She always liked working outside in her flower gardens. She is survived by: her Son, Carl E. (Beverly Jo) Hall of Shelbyville, TN., grandchildren; Jill (Adam) Parks of Shelbyville, and Matthew (Jennifer) Hall of Chapel Hill, five great-grandchildren, Sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Hall and Mary Hall of Cookeville. Nephews, Greg (Christy) Cobble & family of Beechgrove, Todd Cobble & family of Shelbyville & Murfreesboro, Tim (Tammy) Cobble & Family of Cookeville. Aunt, Mabel White of Cookeville, Nieces, Candy (Jeff ) Lane Guy& family of Colorado, Deann Cobble Alred & family of Cookeville, Teresa Hall of Cookeville, Tricia Dianne Hall Howe & family of Harrell's NC., Lisa Gaye & family of Ashville, NC. Pall Bearers: Taylor Reed, Larry Nichols, Josh Hand, John Stokes, Cecil Essex, & Terry Chaffin.
