Funeral services for Mack Keith, 93 of Baxter will Sunday, Aug. 4 at 2 P.M. at Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home with interment in Curry's Chapel Cemetery in Jackson County. Bro. John Davis and Bro. Josh Sherman Will officiate. Mr. Keith died Thursday, August 1, 2013 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born January 30, 1920 in Jackson County to the late Francis Marion and Elizabeth Burgess Keith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife Dimple Smith Keith (who died May 19, 2006) and a son Clay Keith,sisters Callie King, Lillie Guffey, Ruby Traywick, brothers Isam Keith, Jim Keith, Comer Keith and Fred Keith, 8 half brothers and sisters. He was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. He was a retired assembler with Fleetguard Corp. in Cookeville. He was a avid deer and coon hunter and loved country dancing and farming. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Willie and Linda Keith of Baxter, 5 grandchildren: Michael Keith, Nikki Young, Dean Keith, Glen Keith and Steven Keith, 8 great-grandchildren: Chelsea Johnson, Eric Keith, Renee Keith, Logan Young, David Keith, Hazel Keith, Blake Ballard and Gracie Brown and great-great-grandson Landyn due in 3 weeks. Active Pallbearers will be Michael Keith, Scotty Young, Gary Austin, Ricky Austin, Lloyd Keith, Herman Keith and Honorary Pallbearer Kenny Maynard. Family will receive friends Saturday from 4 to 8 P.M. and Sunday after 12 Noon at the funeral home.
