Mabel Harville

Funeral services for Mabel Juanita Harville, 94 of Baxter, were held Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in the Baxter Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Bro. Archie Whitefield and Bro. Tim Sharp officiating. Interment followed in Odd Fellows Cemetery. The family received friends Saturday 5-8 pm and again on Sunday 11 am until service time at the funeral home. The family kindly requests face coverings be worn. Mrs. Harville passed away Friday, June 25, 2021 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was born May 27, 1927 in Putnam County, TN to the late Bice Bryant and Pauline Dennis Bryant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband whom she adored for over 60 years, Elzie Harville, Jr. (m. Dec. 21, 1941, d. May 11, 2006); son, JL Harville; granddaughter, Linda Juanita Harville; brothers, Jack Bryant and Fred Bryant and a sister, Ethebert Lollis. She was a member of Boma Church of God. She loved cooking, making quilts, embroidering, canning and reading books. She loved to learn. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend to all. To know her was to love her. She had a special way with people. Mrs. Harville is survived by son, TJ Harville and wife Linda of Baxter; granddaughter, Judy Lynn Farris and husband Steven; brother, Demus Bryant (Janie) of Elijay, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family and beloved friends. Mrs. Harville's family wishes to thank Dr. Kenny Lynn and his entire staff for the wonderful care extended to her. Pallbearers were family and friends.
