Funeral services for Lucretia Ann "CRICKET" Maynard, 72 of Nashville formerly of Baxter will be Sunday, May 31 at 2 PM from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will be in New Home Baptist Church Cemetery in the Boma Community of Putnam County. Mrs. Maynard passed away Thursday afternoon, May 28, 2015 at her home with her family by her side. She was born February 9, 1943 in Putnam County, TN to the late Calbert Carr "BUDDY" and Lillian Dunavin Sutton. She attended Baxter Seminary/Upperman High School in Baxter, TN and was a retired receptionist/ billing clerk with Westinghouse of Nashville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by grandparents: James Taylor "J.T." and Velma Allison Dunavin and Lester and Mary Ellen Carr Sutton and a step-son Larry Ray Maynard on January 1, 2015. She loved to shop and travel, especially vacationing in Gulf Shores, AL, she loved the sun and the beach. She enjoyed family and friend get-togethers. Survivors include husband Harold Loyd Maynard of Nashville, two daughters and a son-in-law Angela "ANGIE" Huddleston Fountain of Baxter, Charlotte Huddleston DeVasher and husband Al of Hendersonville, sister and brother-in-law Mary Esta and Tom England of Louisville, TN, brother and sister-in-law Danny and Joyce Sutton of Cookeville, two step-sons and daughters-in-law Harold Ralph and Sheri Maynard of Baxter, James Darren and Chrissy Maynard of Cookeville, grandchildren: Carley DeVasher, Noah DeVasher, Sam Fountain and friend Alison Jade Cannon, great-granddaughter: Jazlyn Fountain, step-grandchildren: Beth, Rachel, Taylor, Abby and Alex Maynard, mother-in-law Edith Maynard Lowe, sister-in-law Shelby Dyer both of Baxter, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Bro. Phillip Marsh will officiate. Family will receive friends Saturday from 3 to 8 PM and Sunday after 10 AM at the funeral home.
