Funeral services for Anna Louise Wilson of Baxter will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, July 17th at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday, July 16th from 5-8PM and again Sunday from 1:00 PM until time of the service at the funeral home. Bros. John Davis and Josh Sherman will officiate. Interment will follow at West Cemetery in the Burgess Falls Community. Louise passed from this life into the presence of her Lord on Thursday, July 14, 2016 surrounded by her family. Louise was born January 24, 1928 in Cookeville to the late William Eldredge and Maggie West Grimes. She is survived by her husband Clarence Wilson, whom she married on September 29, 1946 in Rossville, Georgia, as well as her children, Ronnie (Thresa) Wilson, Barry (Dianne) Wilson and Tracy (Shane) Farris. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Charity (Brad) Smith, Tyler Wilson, Dusty Wilson, Courtney Wilson, Chelsea Farris and Seth Farris, and two great – grandchildren, Brady Smith and Cate Smith. She is also survived by one sister, Nettie Ford, Cookeville TN, and a host of nieces and nephews. Louise was a long-time, active member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church in Baxter, TN, where she served many years as WMU Director, Training Union teacher, and Children's Bible Drill leader. In her early years she was a waitress at many local restaurants. She was also a proud past employee of Kroger where she served in the meat department. She was also co-owner of Town and Country Dress Shop in Baxter, TN with long-time friend Ann Emerton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers Dewey, Norvell, Henry, James D. and Lawrence Grimes, and one sister, Marie Southgate. Louise spent the last three years of her life in Life Care Center in Sparta, TN, where she received care from their loving and compassionate staff and where she and Clarence developed many great friendships. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to all these special friends. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, as well as nephews Duane and Bill Grimes.
