Lois Spivey Walker

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Lois Ann Spivey Walker, 68, of Cookeville, will be held at 1pm Friday, January 2, at the Henry Cemetery in the Calfkiller community of Putnam County. Bro. Benton Flatt and Scott Dobbins will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery. Mrs. Walker died suddenly Tuesday morning, December 30, 2014 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born December 28, 1946 in Elkton, KY to the late Harvey and Lucille Carter Shoemate. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Spivey and daughter, Rose Denise Spivey. Mrs. Walker attended Friendship United Methodist Church in Cookeville. She is survived by her husband, Freddy Walker, (whom she married March 20, 2010); three daughters and son-in-law, Sherry Moceri of Old Hickory, TN, Teresa Duke of Madison, TN, Sandie and Tim Faught of Madison, TN; step-son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Melissa Walker of Russellville, KY; step-daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Tom Sandlin of Monterey; brother and sister-in-law, William Henry and Frances Shoemate of Franklin, KY; 20 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
