Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Eloise "Lois" Lewis, age 86 of Cookeville, will be Tuesday April 15 at 1 p.m. at Dodson Chapel United Methodist Church with Bro. Gordon Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Dodson Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Lewis died Friday afternoon April 11, 2014 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born February 8, 1928 in Jackson County, Tennessee to the late Rev. Ernest and Ann Dishman Scott. She was a member of Paran United Methodist Church and retired from McCord's. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Deloy Wesley; and two sisters, Ila Mae Gaw and Myrtie Lee. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Nancy Lewis of Frederick, V A; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Peggy Ann and Raymond Dishman, Karen Dorris all of Cookeville, and Susan and Frankie Jones of Rickman; eight grandchildren, Erica Lewis, Shelia (Terry) Jared, Scott (Kim) Phipps, Clark (candy) Dishman, Wes Phipps, Jessica Jones, Kelly Dishman, and Eric Jones; and five great grandchildren. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Lewis family will receive friends Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until service time at the church.
