Lois Haney

Funeral services for Mrs. Freda Lois Haney, 82, of Cookeville will be held at 10 am Saturday, January 11 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Chaplain Gene Lovelace of Alive Hospice officiating. Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 – 8 pm and again Saturday from 9 – 10 am at the funeral home. Mrs. Haney died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at her daughter's home in Brentwood, TN. She was born April 19, 1931 in Gainesboro, TN to the late Vander Deemer and Mary L. Trisdale Bowman. Mrs. Haney held various jobs during her life, but her main focus was being a homemaker. She lived for her husband and children and made sure that they were always taken care of. She loved them all so much. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jube Haney; son, Larry Michael Haney; and brother, Vander Deemer Bowman, Jr. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Brian Higdon of Brentwood, TN; son, Jube Alan and Virginia Haney of McKinney, TX; four grandchildren, Lindsey and Chelsey Higdon, Michael and Ronald Haney; four great-grandchildren, Ariel, Joshua, Jake and Giuliana Haney; daughter-in-law, Deborah Haney Temrowski of MI; and by her beloved dog Queenie.
