Funeral services for Mrs. Lois I. Foister, 73 of Monterey, will be held Sunday June 1st at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Barnett officiating. Interment will follow in Sand Springs Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Foister's family will receive friends Saturday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again Sunday from 2 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Foister died Thursday evening May 29, 2014 at Standing Stone Care & Rehabilitation Center in Monterey. She was born March 15, 1941 in Overton County, Tennessee to the late Virgil and Birtha Lucille Allred Randolph. She was employed at Standing Stone Care & Rehabilitation as a CNA with over 26 years of service. She was a member of Monterey First Freewill Baptist Church. She was devoted to her family and will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, James Haggard Foister; brother, Raymond Randolph, sister and brother in law Helen and Roger Randolph; grandsons, Jayson and Jacob Lowhorn; and by nephews Mike Ford and Donney Foister. She is survived by three sons, James (Nokie) Foister of Monterey, Scott (Penny) Foister of Cookeville, and Steve (Robin) Foister of Baxter; grandchildren, Derrick (Shannon) Foister, Dusty (Sarah) Foister both of Monterey and Jeremy Foister and Landon Bell both of Cookeville; four great grandchildren; sisters Elise (Kenneth) Vaden of Monterey and Betty Ford of Vandalia, OH ; sister-in-law, Doris (Clarence) Foister of Baxter; and by a special friend, Sandy Sampley. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
