Linda Maxwell

Funeral services for Linda Maxwell, 77, of Cookeville, will be Saturday, July 11 at 2 PM at Dyer Funeral Home. Bro. Ronnie Birdwell will officiate. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Friends are invited to come by the funeral home to sign the guest book and pay their respects on Saturday from 12 pm to 2pm at the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Due to Covid-19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed. Mrs. Maxwell died Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at NHC Healthcare of Cookeville. She was born September 28, 1942 in Cookeville, TN to the late Frank Amon Minnear and Betty T. Kirby Minnear. Linda was a 1960 graduate of Central High School and was of the Church of Christ faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jere Baxter Maxwell who died November 11, 1991; brothers, Thomas O. Minnear, and Donald Eugene Minnear; and a sister, Mattie Ellen Minnear. Survivors include brothers, Kenneth Minnear and wife Linda of Cookeville and James L. Minnear and wife Judy of Marion, IN; sister, Glenda Carol Halfacre and husband William of Granville, TN; two sisters-in-law, Lavada Minnear and M. Faye Minnear; and a host of special nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Brook Halfacre, Doug Halfacre, Darin Minnear, Tim Minnear, Jesse Birdwell, and Tommy Phillips.
