Linda Alcorn

Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Faye Alcorn, age 74 of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Dr. Jason Groe will officiate. Interment will follow in Brown's Mill Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Alcorn died Saturday afternoon, November 13, 2021 at her residence. She was born July 31, 1947 in Cookeville to the late Millard and Velma Buckner Neal. She was a 1965 graduate of Cookeville Senior High. Linda worked as a legal secretary for Dale Bohannon, Attorney for 35 years. She was giving, hard working, full of life and always positive. She was a devoted fan of the (World Series Champions) Atlanta Braves. Linda's faith and family were most important to her. She has been a faithful member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church for over 50 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Donald Kenneth Alcorn. Linda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Randy Dyer; grandchildren, Erin (Luke) Hill, Hannah (Keain) Hildreth and Jacob Dyer; great grandchild, Izzy Bargayo; brother, Ray (Janice) Neal of Cookeville; and by a nephew, Tim Neal. Randy Dyer, Luke Hill, Tim Neal, Jim Sutherland, Larry Buckner and Eddie McDonald will serve as pallbearers. Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (931)526-6111.
