Lila Lee Prophet

Funeral services for Lila Lee Prophet, 75, of Cookeville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be in West Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Jan. 30, at the funeral home. Mrs. Prophet died day, Wednesday January 28, 2009, at NHC of Cookeville. She was born June 7, 1933, to the late Theodore Franklin and Bernice Melissa Bradley Turner in McDowell County North Carolina. Mrs. Prophet was a member of the Wilhite Baptist Church. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and an Insurance agent but loved her role as homemaker most of all. She is survived by several nieces and nephews; special cousins, David Harold Setzer of Millington TN , Bobby Ross, Buford Ross; Sister-in-law Ollie Setzer, and close many close friends. In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by Her husband, William A. Prophet; one brother, Theodore Arnold Turner and her parents. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Mustard Seed Ranch in Mrs. Prophet’s honor. Bro. Terry Geren and Bro. Rick Burnett will be conducting the services.
