Levie Waldie

Funeral services for Mr. Levie Waldie, age 88 of Cookeville, will be held Monday, November 27th at 1:00 pm at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery. Pastor Scott Parkison will officiate.

His family will receive Sunday evening from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again Monday from 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Waldie died Friday afternoon, November 24th at Livingston Regional Hospital.

He was born September 15, 1935 in Manchester, TN to the late William and Edith Tate Waldie. He served his country as a member of the United States Army.

Levie was self employed in asphalt sealing for many years and continued to work into his 80s. Family was paramount to him, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He was a member of Stevens Street Street Baptist Church, serving a greeter, warmly welcoming guests with a generous smile.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Reba Price Waldie; and by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
