Leonard "Curley" Goolsby

Funeral Services for Leonard “Curley” Goolsby, age 82, of Cookeville, will be Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Skimmyhorn Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until time of the service. Mr. Goolsby passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 at his home following an extended illness. He was born January 26, 1932 in Putnam County TN to the late William Case Goolsby and Liza Elizabeth Skimmyhorn Goolsby. Leonard was known for his “fix-it” ability repairing heating and air conditioning as well as small engines. He was of a member of the Church of Christ. Leonard “Curley” is survived by one son; Randy Goolsby, and one daughter; Kimberly Lee Goolsby, as well as a sister; Betty Ruth Roark, and one brother, Wade Goolsby. In addition to his parents, Mr. Goolsby was preceded in death by his wife, Lee Ella, one daughter; Tammy Goolsby, and eight brothers; Zina, Lolyd, Ernest, Fred, Roy, Harold, Billy and Bradley Goolsby. Bro. Roy Cannon will be officiating the service.
