Funeral services for Mr. Varman Leon "Bee" Hall, age 65, of Cookeville, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday November 23 in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Rev. Jonathan Young will officiate. Interment will follow in the Algood Heritage Cemetery. His family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Hall passed away Wednesday November 13, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born November 5, 1954 in Franklin, KY to the late James Howard Hall and Georgia Gabbard Hall. Mr. Hall was retired from food service at Tennessee Tech University with over 45 years of service. He was University of Kentucky sports fan and an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Darty Hall; son, Patrick Goolsby; four step-sons, Donald Hayes Jr. (wife, Emily), Calvin Hayes, Jerry Hayes (wife, Heather), Keith Hayes (wife, Traneshia) all of Cookeville; brother, James "PeeWee" Hall of Franklin, KY; sisters, Uretha Parrish (husband, Stanley) of Bowling Green, KY, and Juanita Gist of Cookeville; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and special sister-in-law, Frances Darty Hogan of Algood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Matilda Smith and Wanda Hall; and step-son, Travis Hayes. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Myers, Patrick Tubbs, Eugene "Bozo" Allen, James "Poppie" Gist, Kelly Parrish and Odell Savage. Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
