Laura Mansfield

Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Mansfield, age 72, of Murfreesboro and formerly of Cookeville, will be held at 2pm on Saturday, July 9, at Algood United Methodist Church. Rev. Brent Davis will officiate. Her family will receive friends Saturday from 1pm until service time at the church. Mrs. Mansfield died Saturday afternoon, July 2, 2016 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. She was born March 5, 1944 in Livingston, TN to the late Eugene and Edith Deck Masters. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Leon Mansfield. She is survived by her three sons, Trey Mansfield of Murfreesboro, TN, Bob Mansfield of Clinton, TN, and Joe Mansfield of San Diego, CA; and cherished granddaughter, Faith Mansfield. Mrs. Mansfield was a long time member of Algood United Methodist Church where she served as choir director. She was a former registered nurse and retired from serving as the administrator at the former Masters Nursing Home in Algood.
