Lacey Amber Shelley

COOKEVILLE-"If angels live on earth, Lacey Amber Shelley was one of them". Funeral services for Miss Lacey Amber Shelley, age 37 of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday, November 1st at 1:00pm in the Dyer chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Paran Cemetery. Pastor Carl Hall will officiate.

Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 11am until service time at the funeral home.

She died Friday October 28, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Born October 11, 1985 in Cookeville to Roger and Theresa Shelley, who survive her. Also surviving are her parents and longtime special caregivers, Jacen and Lora Jared, to whom is owed much gratitude and love. Other surviving family are brothers, Austin (Brittany) Shelley, Adam Shelley, Andy (Ayla) Shelley; sisters, Lauren (Matthew) Ledbetter and Jordan Allen; along with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Many others loved and adored her, including her special friend, Angela Rich.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Leslie and Beulah Haney and Rev. J. Glea and Margaret Shelley.

Amber defied all earthly odds and lived and loved beyond her life expectancy. She was special, a jewel and a princess by any accounts. She will be sorely missed.

Kirk Selby, Kevin Strode, Shane Smith, Matthew Rich, Mike Clark, and Chuck Haney will serve as pallbearers.
